The Rose of Versailles (ベルサイユのばら Berusaiyu no Bara?), also known as Lady Oscar or La Rose de Versailles, is one of the best-known titles in shōjo manga and a media franchise created by Riyoko Ikeda. It has been adapted into several Takarazuka Revue musicals, as well an anime television series, produced by Tokyo Movie Shinsha and broadcast by the anime television network Animax and Nippon Television. The show remains incredibly popular in Italy.

Angelic Layer (エンジェリックレイヤー) is a manga series released by Clamp. The manga is published in Japan by Kadokawa Shoten, and in English originally by Tokyopop, but has since been re-licensed by Dark Horse Comics.
The manga was adapted into a 26-episode anime series produced by Bones titled Battle Doll Angelic Layer (機動天使エンジェリックレイヤー) which aired on TV Tokyo from April 1, 2001- September 23, 2001. Seven volumes of videos were released by ADV Films on VHS and DVD in 2003. It was re-released in 2005 as a five volume box set. North American publisher Dark Horse Comics will re-release Angelic Layer in omnibus format in 2011.

Comic magazine Hero's launched its official English website with the announcement that it is now accepting submissions for the second Hero's Comic Award competition.
The website is accepting manuscripts for the summer round of the four-round Comic Award until Sept. 5. With fans all over the world creating Japanese-style manga, the Hero's Comic Award competition could open doors for aspiring overseas artists to make a professional debut in Japan.

Jinrui wa Suitaishimashita (人類は衰退しました, lit. Humanity Has Declined), or Jintai (人退) for short, is a Japanese light novel series written by Romeo Tanaka.
The novels originally featured illustrations by Toru Yamasaki for the first six volumes, but Yamasaki was replaced by Sunaho Tobe in 2011. The first volume was published in May 2007, and six volumes have been released by Shogakukan as of February 2011. A manga adaptation illustrated by Takuya Mitomi began serialization in the January 2012 issue of Monthly Ikki.
An anime adaptation produced by AIC A.S.T.A. and directed by Seiji Kishi began airing in July 2012.

Shonan Junai Gumi (湘南純愛組! lit. "The Pure Love Gang from Shōnan") is a manga by Tohru Fujisawa which was published from March 1990 to December 1996, and initially released in 31 volumes. It has subsequently been released in a deluxe edition of 15 volumes, from May to December 2000, and the pocket-size print run, which began in May 2005, is currently at the 10th volume. Five 50 minute anime OVAs were released on VHS in the early 1990s, which basically followed the storyline of the manga, note that in one episode there will be two-in one instead.

It was previously the longest manga not to have a TV anime adaptation, until one was announced in July 2012, scheduled to start in October 2012.

Hayate the Combat Butler (ハヤテのごとく!) is a Japanese manga series, written and illustrated by Kenjiro Hata, about a boy who starts a new job as a butler and the events he experiences with his employer. Shogakukan have released 29 volumes in Japan. The English edition of the series has been licensed by Viz Media for distribution in North America. The style of the manga has a comedic gag with a slight harem feel and constantly breaks the fourth wall.
An anime film adaption produced by Manglobe was released in August 2011. A third TV anime series by Manglobe will air in October 2012.
