Anime & Manga Japan / Crunchyroll streams anime in Latin America


The U.S.-based anime distributor Chrunchyroll Inc. expanded its streaming services aimed at Latin American countries in April.
The company says it is now simultaneously broadcasting Japanese-speaking anime titles with Spanish subtitles in such countries as Mexico, Argentina, Peru, Venezuela and Colombia.

【FREEDOM×GRENADECREW】(オリジナルアニメPV)

Freedom Project is a Japanese promotional project by Nissin Cup Noodles for their 35th anniversary in 2006. As part of the project, the 7-part OVA series, titled Freedom, was commissioned with and designed by Katsuhiro Otomo (of the anime film Steamboy and the manga Akira and its film adaptation) serving as the character and mecha designer. The series is directed by Shuhei Morita, creator of the award-winning animation short Kakurenbo, and is authored by celebrated writer Dai Sato, Katsuhiko Chiba and Yuuichi Nomura. The series openly displays its sponsor's product placement in numerous scenes in which characters are shown consuming Nissin Cup Noodles.
The OVA is animated and produced by Sunrise and distributed by Bandai Visual. It is being distributed in North America by Bandai Visual USA. "Freedom Committee" is the collective term used for the entire creative team behind Freedom, which includes animators and production staff members who have previously worked on Steamboy.

Tiger & Bunny (タイガー&バニー) is a 2011 Japanese anime television series produced by Sunrise under the direction of Keiichi Satou. The screenplay was written by Masafumi Nishida, with original character design by Masakazu Katsura.
A one-shot manga drawn by Masakazu Katsura was published in Shueisha's Weekly Young Jump magazine on August 4, 2011 and the production of two films based on the series were announced during a special event on November, 2011. The first film, entitled Gekijō-ban Tiger & Bunny -The Beginning will be released in September 2012.

As you might know, the animated adaptation of the "Fairy Tail" manga written and illustrated by Hiro Mashima won the best Japanese anime award at the 19th Anime & Manga Grand Prix.

Fairy Tail (フェアリーテイル) is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Hiro Mashima. It has been serialized in Weekly Shonen Magazine since August 23, 2006, and has been published by Kodansha in 30 tankobon volumes as of January 2012. An ongoing anime produced by A-1 Pictures and Satelight was released in Japan on October 12, 2009, and has spawned three original video animations.

20th Century Boys (20世紀少年) is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Naoki Urasawa. It was originally serialized in Big Comic Spirits from 1999 to 2006, with the 249 chapters published into 22 tankobon volumes by Shogakukan. In January 2007, a "sequel" titled 21st Century Boys (21世紀少年) ran until July for 16 chapters, which were gathered into 2 tankoban. It tells the story of Kenji Endo and his friends, who notice a cult-leader named "friend" is out to destroy the world, and it has something to do with their childhood memories. The series makes many references to classic rock music, its title being taken from T.Rex's famous song "20th Century Boy", as well as a number of 1960s-1970s anime.

Although Daredevil had been home to the work of many legendary comic-book artists — Everett, Kirby, Wally Wood, John Romita, Sr., and Gene Colan, among others — Frank Miller's influential tenure on the title in the late 1970s and early 1980s is particularly remembered, having cemented the character as a popular and influential part of the Marvel Universe. Daredevil has since appeared in many various forms of media including several animated series, video games, merchandise, and a 2003 feature-length film.

The movie is in homage to the Ninpōchō series of ninja novels by Futaro Yamada. The main character, Kibagami Jubei, is an homage to the famed Japanese folk hero Yagyu Jubei Mitsuyoshi.
The film was released on June 5, 1993, and received a Western release on December 6, 1995, and was critically acclaimed. The movie was also released in some regions as Jubei Ninpucho: The Wind Ninja Chronicles. It is licensed by Manga Entertainment in North America.
