Cyborg 009 episode 4
It is the tale of nine regular humans kidnapped by the evil Black Ghost organization to undergo human experiments. The result of this tampering are nine cyborgs, each one having super human powers. The nine cyborgs band together to fight for their freedom and to stop Black Ghost. The evil organization's goal is to start the next world war, by supplying any rich buyers with their choice of countless weapons of war and mass destruction.
Elements of this series would later find their way into Kamen Rider, another famous creation by Ishinomori (and by extension Himitsu Sentai Goranger, Ishinomori's first of his two Super Sentai TV series, in 1975). The plots are the same, except that the weekly threats are mutants, and there is just one hero (later two), as opposed to nine. Although it was also created by Ishinomori, and features similar themes, this shōnen manga, despite the "00" name and the cybernetized protagonists, has no relation to his later work 009-1, a seinen manga.
